🧩 Add Device
The Add Device flow allows you to register a new Duck into your network inside the OWL DMS. Every device must be added before it can be flashed and deployed in the field.
🔘 1. Click "Add Device"
Head to the Devices page and click the “Add Device” button in the top right.
🧬 2. Choose Your Duck Type
Select whether this device is a:
- PapaDuck – The gateway node
- MamaDuck – A node in your mesh that relays or collects data. Can be configured with sensors or GPS positioning.
🛠️ 3. Fill in Device Info
Based on the Duck type you select, the required fields will update:
- Device Name – Auto-generated or custom
- Description - (Optional) Description of the device, owner or location
- Location - (Optional) Not an actual location but could be, on roof, on pole etc
